A big thank you to all the folks who came out to the “Lights Out” show at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles IL on Saturday, you guys really did us proud! A special thanks to Ron Onesti and his staff for treating us so well, and to Mr. Eddie Trunk for emceeing the show and filling in for the support band who cancelled at the 11th hour. Bravo to you all.
I would also like to thank the rest of the band members John Adams, Barry Sparks, Wayne Findlay, and Mark Boals for such a great show. I think everyone would agree, you guys really kick ass!
Also. a mention to Miss Kate “Batttttty” Moore, for helping this social media moron get the word out, where would I be without you? Next shows are in August, watch the “Lights Out” Facebook page for details. Until then, stay safe and “Keep Rockin”.

p.s.
Hey there, me again. Put it down to old age or travel lag or whatever, but I completely forgot to thank our wonderful crew yesterday. So here goes - David Gibbs (guitars), David ‘Zebra’ Pilkenton (drums), Larry Huff (FOH sound), Al ‘Tumbleweed’ Williams (lights) and last but by no means least Larry Lopez (stage). Thanks guys, we couldn’t do it without you!

I spent this last weekend in Houston, rehearsing with the new “Lights Out“ lineup. If you haven’t already heard, joining founder and guitarist John Adams, Barry Sparks, and yours truly, will be with Wayne Findlay on guitar and keys and vocalist Mark Boals.
The new band sounded terrific and I am really looking forward to our upcoming show at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois on June 13th. That venue was always great for UFO, and I am hoping that it will be for “Lights Out’ too.
I know there have been a few negative comments about “tribute” bands on social media, so I just want to say a few words on the subject. “Lights Out” are not UFO, we are not trying to be UFO. We are just a group of musicians who really love the music of UFO and want to continue the legacy. If you heard Phil’s recent talk with Eddie Trunk, you will already know that he was adamant about the fact that he is no longer interested in performing shows with UFO, and has moved on to new things.
So, if, like me, you would still like to hear UFO’s music played live on stage, I believe that you will find “Lights Out” to be an excellent experience. Come and check us out, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
See you in St. Charles!
Andy
Hi all. It’s been quite some time since my last update and a lot has happened, so I thought it was time for me bring you up to speed. I am still working with the band “Lights Out”, and we are planning more shows for this year. We will be at one of my favorite venues, the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles Illinois on the 13th of June. I am really pleased to be going back there, as it was always one of UFO’s top places to play. We will be back in San Antonio at Fitzgeralds on Friday August 7th and Rise Rooftop in Houston on August 9th, where we will be joined once again by Mr. Eddie Trunk. Click here for tickets.
I have also heard rumors of some California shows later in the year, so watch this space for updates.
There is also some very exciting news regarding the band lineup. Joining John, Barry, Greg, and myself this year will be Wayne Findlay on guitar and keys and Mark Boals on vocals. I’m sure that you already know these guys from their work with MSG and Yngwie Malmsteen, and I am really looking forward to working with them both.
On a different note, a year after my injuring my back, I am finally fully recovered, and as such, I have been able to work at my lathe again. I have added some new pieces to my Etsy shop so I hope you will check them out.
I’m hoping I will see you at the shows this year, until then stay safe and “Keep on Rocking”.
Andy
